Motorcycle safety is Highway Patrol focus
WEST UNITY - Attention shoppers: Dollar General is coming to the village. According to Mayor Peg Bernath during Thursday's Council meeting, construction on a new Dollar General store will start around July 1. The store will be built on U.S. 20-A between the Church of Christ and the new school. ItÕs expected to be in operation by September or October. After a short executive session to consider employee compensation and the possible acquisition of land, Village Council voted to advertise for bids for a new water treatment plant to be constructed near the new water tower on Pine Street. Defiance County dogs get door-to-door check

DEFIANCE - Do you have your Defiance County dog license? Staff from the county dog wardenÕs office are going door-to-door to check for dog licenses, the Defiance County Commissioners learned Thursday. Laura Howell, Defiance County administrator, noted that fact when she updated the commissioners on the department head meeting she held earlier in the week.   from page 3.
