Kurivial-Hug wed in summer ceremony

St. Patrick Catholic Church of Bryan was the setting for the July 20, 2019, wedding of Kristen Nicole Kurivial and Derek James Hug. Father Charles Ritter officiated at the ceremony. Parents of the couple are Mike and Carol Kurivial of Bryan and Dennis and Susan Hug of Bryan. Kristen attended Bryan High School from 2005 to 2008 and graduated high school from the Interlochen Arts Academy in 2009. She attended The Ohio State University and majored in vocal performance, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. She is co-founder of Luminous Ministries. Derek graduated from Bryan High School in 2012 and from Heidelberg in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in occupational health and safety at the University of Toledo. He is program manager, Supply Quality at Balchem Ingredient Solutions. The reception was held at the Williams County Veterans Memorial Building, Montpelier.
