DEFIANCE — For the second straight game and night, Stryker’s boys basketball team snagged an overtime win on the road.
The Panthers bounced back from a four-point third quarter with 18 points in the fourth to force overtime against Tinora and went on to beat the Rams 66-61 in nonconference action on Saturday at Tinora High School.
Daniel Donovan buried five 3-pointers in his team-high 21-point outing for Stryker (7-7), which beat Edon 51-50 in overtime on Friday at Edon High School. Mateo Villanueva made three 3s with his 13-point performance.
Luke Harris dropped a game-high 28 points for Tinora (5-8).

WEST UNITY — Hilltop’s boys basketball team scored a season-high 70 points and held on against Toledo Jones Leadership Academy for a 70-58 nonconference victory on Saturday at Hilltop High School.
Aiden Funkhouser tallied a team-high 20 points for the Cadets (4-7).
Tewon Terry dropped a game-high 29 points for Toledo Jones (0-4).

Bryan falters against Van Wert
VAN WERT — Bryan’s boys basketball team couldn’t keep up with Van Wert as the Cougars earned a 68-44 nonconference win on Saturday at Van Wert High School.
Jase Kepler tallied a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Golden Bears (3-10), while Joe Watson scored a team-high 12 points and Evan Cox added nine. Bryan was 31 percent (15 of 49) shooting, including 29 percent (2 of 7) from beyond the arc.
Van Wert (8-4) shot 57 percent (27 of 47) from the floor, including 50 percent (7 of 14) from 3-point land.
Bryan (0-2 Northwest Ohio Athletic League) will try to end its four-game skid against Patrick Henry (12-1, 2-0 NWOAL) at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Patrick Henry High School.
North Central loses to Hicksville
PIONEER — North Central’s boys basketball team only trailed by four points through one quarter, but Hicksville took a 36-20 halftime lead and never let up for a 55-43 nonleague victory on Saturday at North Central High School.
Joey Burt scored 11 of his team-high 14 points in the second half for the Eagles (6-7).
Brody Balser buried five 3-pointers for a game-high 15 points for the Aces (11-3).
