Encounters with illegal immigrants continue to rise at the U.S. southern border, as do seizures of the dangerous drug fentanyl.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recently released a report showing there have been more than two million encounters at the border already in 2022, which is more than it has had in any single year.
