DELTA — Edon’s girls basketball team fell behind 17-2 after the first quarter and couldn’t recover in a season-opening 59-17 loss to Delta in a nonconference game Saturday.

Kerrin Towers scored four points to lead Edon (1-0).

Braelyn Wymer had a game-high 19 points for Delta (2-0), while Reagan Rouleau chipped in 14 points.
