PIONEER — North Central’s Madison Brown knocked down all 12 of her free-throw attempts and scored a game-high 14 points as the Eagles held off Edgerton 42-33 in Tuesday’s nonleague girls basketball game.

Lauren Balser chipped in nine points for North Central (5-4), while Brooke McClanahan and Kendee Hollstein both scored six.

The Eagles led 24-14 at halftime and 36-19 after three quarters.

Rylei Moreno led eight Edgerton (1-8) scorers with seven points.

Grace Schroeder added six points and Abbigail Herman five.

Apaches take down Cadets

WEST UNITY — Hilltop led 19-13 after the first quarter, but Fairview came back with a big second quarter en route to a 52-41 nonleague girls basketball victory on Tuesday.

Kiersten Cline poured in a game-high 24 points for Fairview (10-3). Karrie Smith added eight points.

Kodi Brenner had 14 points and Leanna Baker 12 to front Hilltop (6-4).
