The Hilltop volleyball team will head into the postseason on a high note after dominating Montpelier in a straight-set win (25-17, 25-14, 25-13) on Thursday night.
Senior Morgan Norden led the Cadets with six kills, while Gabby Rodriguez added five and Kendall Roth had four. Arleigh Van Arsdalen led the team with 10 assists. Roth, Norden and Jaden Rising each pitched in with an ace.
Ariel Page led the Locomotives with six kills and three blocks, while Kennedy Caudill contributed a game-high 15 digs.
Hilltop (14-8, 9-3 Buckeye Border Conference) will host Pettisville in a Division IV sectional game on Tuesday night. Montpelier (2-19, 1-11) will play against the winner of Tinora vs. Delphos Jefferson next Saturday in a Division III sectional game.
North Central 3, Fayette 1 (25-11, 21-25, 25-17, 25-10)
The North Central volleyball team capped its regular season with a four-set home win over Fayette on Thursday night.
Sophomore Kendal Bonney led the Eagles’ balanced attack with 11 kills, while Kendee Hollstein added nine, Lauren Balser added seven and Madison Brown had six. Brown set up her teammates with 22 assists and seven digs, while MaKayla Meyers had a game-high six aces.
North Central (14-7, 9-3 BBC) will play host to Ayersville in a Division IV sectional game on Tuesday.
Edgerton 3, Ayersville 1 (25-18, 15-25, 25-16, 25-15)
The Edgerton volleyball team closed its regular season with a four-set victory over visiting Ayersville on Thursday night.
Lydia Adams led the Bulldogs with 12 kills, while Emma Siebenaler added eight kills and Heaven Imm had seven kills and a team-high 29 digs. Ally Cape and Rylei Moreno had 13 assists and eight digs apiece, while Coral Picillo chipped in with a team-high five aces and 19 digs.
Edgerton (7-15, 2-5 Green Meadows Conference) will travel to play Antwerp in a Division IV sectional game on Tuesday.
