Montpelier’s baseball team made quick work of Fayette in a five inning, 10-0 win on Tuesday at Montpelier.

The Locos (17-4, 11-1 Buckeye Border Conference) scored in every inning and managed 10 hits. The Eagles (9-17, 0-12 BBC) had four errors in the game.

Tanner Sanders had three hits and two RBIs to lead Montpelier at the plate. Dakota Benner added two hits and three RBIs, while Brock O’Neal had a hit and two RBIs.

Bryer Bentley got the win in just 1 2/3 innings pitched. He allowed one hit and struck out four.

Montpelier will face Hilltop tonight at 7 p.m. in Bryan in a district semifinal game.
