MONTPELIER — Montpelier’s Hunter Burlew shot a 38 to earn medalist honors and lead the Locomotives’ boys golf team to a 162-176 win over Buckeye Border Conference opponent Hilltop on Thursday at Patriot Hills Golf Course.

Easten Richmond (40) followed Burlew’s performance, with Jaxon Richmond and Ethan Marihugh both shooting a 42 to round out Montpelier’s score.

Ethan Siebenaler led the Cadets with a 40, while Karter Gray shot a 42. Jamie Chester had a 46, while Ella Calvin and Elijah Kuszmaul both turned in a 48.

Clingaman medals to lead Stryker

STRYKER — Spencer Clingaman once again earned medalist honors, this time with a 38, and led Stryker’s golf team to a 171-205 win against nonleague opponent Edgerton on Thursday at Riverside Greens Golf Course.

Following Clingaman’s performance were Devon Weirauch and Brandon Bowers, who both shot a 46. Gavin LaBo had a 47 to complete the Panthers’ score.

Edgerton was led by Esten Kennerk and Noah Landel, who both scored a 42. Preston Bartlett (58) and Nathan Swank (63) rounded out the Bulldogs’ score.

North Central wins big against Fayette

North Central boys golf beat Buckeye Border Conference foe Fayette 160-249 on Thursday at Suburban Golf Course.

The Eagles were led by Zach Hayes, who earned medalist honors with a 38. Colin Patten (39), Mason Sanford (41) and Sam Wheeler (42) completed North Central’s score.

Fairview finishes second

DEFIANCE — Fairview boys golf finished second in a match with Green Meadows Conference opponents Wayne Trace and Holgate on Thursday at Auglaize Golf Course.

Wayne Trace shot a 177 to edge Fairview by three strokes. Holgate had a 199.

Ronnie Adkins (40) led the Apaches, while Nathaniel Adkins was second with a 41. Brendan Degryse had a 48, while Kasen Kauffman shot a 51.

Holgate’s Josh Tobias earned medalist honors with a 37.

Price leads Edon

WAUSEON — Edon golf fell to Buckeye Border Conference opponent Pettisville on Thursday at Ironwood Golf Club.

The Bombers didn’t have enough golfers to field a full team, but had Hayden Price (48) and Thomas Wehrenberg (59) participate.

Tommy McWatters (35) earned medalist honors to lead the Blackbirds.
