The Napoleon River Bandits took home an 8-3 win over Van Wert on Tuesday night behind a big sixth inning.

The Rivers Bandits (12-6) scored six runs in the sixth inning to jump ahead. Fairview’s Caleb Frank had a safety squeeze in the inning to start the run parade.

Jeron Williams and Zac Brickel each had two RBIs on the night.

Edon’s Daryke Bass got the start, throwing four innings and allowing three hits. He struck out six and allowed one earned run.

Montpelier’s Bryer Bentley got the win in relief.

He threw two innings, allowed no hits, walked three and struck out one.

The River Bandits will play Kokomo tonight to kick off a four-day road trip in Indiana.
