Accident kills one, injures two

Authorities said a Montpelier woman has died following a collision at County Road K and County Road 13 Wednesday afternoon. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 2013 Chevrolet Spark driven by Andrea Cummins, 46, of Montpelier, was northbound on County Road 13 while a 2012 Kia Sportage driven by Kelly Grey, 45, of Napoleon, was eastbound on County Road K. The Kia struck the Chevrolet on the driver’s side as it turned left onto County Road K. Cummins was pronounced dead at the scene by the Williams County coroner. A passenger in the Chevrolet was taken to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan and then to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. Grey was taken to CHWC-Montpelier where she was treated for her injuries. Seat belts were in use in both vehicles, authorities said. Assisting OSHP at the scene were the Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Williams County EMS, Montpelier police and fire departments, the Bryan Municipal Prosecutor’s Office and Williams County Prosecutor’s Office.
