An Edgerton man was arrested Friday after authorities in Defiance County said he was in possession of a “significant amount of suspected mehtamphetamine.

Defiance County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 127 near Ohio 18 at an unspecified time on Friday. Luther Vance, 53, found to be wanted on a felony warrant.

After further investigation, Vance was charged with aggravated possession of drugs over bulk, a third-degree felony, and carrying a concealed weapon, a first-degree misdemeanor.

He was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio and will appear for video arraignment Monday. The case file will be sent to the Defiance County Prosecutor’s Office for presentation to a grand jury.
