Kevin Maynard

Bryan Municipal Utilities Director Kevin Maynard was put on paid administrative leave and is the subject of an investigation into possible workplace misconduct.

The Bryan Board of Public Affairs voted to put Maynard on leave following a closed, executive session on Wednesday that lasted about two hours and 45 minutes, according to Patrick Hire, senior consultant at Clemans-Nelson & Associates. BMU has a retainer agreement with Clemans-Nelson for labor relations and personnel issues.

BMU officials deferred comment to Hire, who declined to comment on the nature of the allegations, due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.

Hire declined to speculate on how long the investigation might last.

Maynard was hired as BMU director in May 2017.
