The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a Bryan man was arrested Sunday morning after his vehicle struck a mailbox.
According to the OSHP:
At 11:02 a.m. Sunday, Ronald S. Tingley was driving a 2005 Pontiac south on County Road 6 when his vehicle traveled off the east side of the roadway and struck a mailbox, then traveled off the west side and struck an embankment, sustaining disabling damage.
“The driver reportedly fell asleep,” Lt. Robert Ashenfelter said. “A safety belt was in use at the time of the crash which helped minimize injuries.”
Tingley, 28, of Bryan, was arrested and charged with OVI, failure to control, possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
He was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
