A Bryan man was reported hurt in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Paulding County.

According to a news release from the Van Wert post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol:

At about 1:03 p.m. Wednesday, troopers responded to an injury crash at the intersection of Ohio 49 and Ohio 114 in Benton Township, in Paulding County.

Authorities determined that Citali Montiel, 39, of Van Wert, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on Ohio 114 while Michael Leffel, 63, of Bryan, was driving a 2018 Dodge Ram northbound on Ohio 49.

Montiel failed to yield the right of way and struck Leffel’s vehicle, which continued off the right side of the roadway and overturned. He was transported by Payne EMS to Paulding County Hospital. Montiel and two passengers in Montiel’s vehicle did not claim injury.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, Payne Fire Department, Payne EMS, Gideon’s Towing Service and R&O Towing Service.

The crash remains under investigation.
