Common pleas

Pleading

Dennis A. Poling, 36, Bryan, pleaded guilty and was found guilty May 29 of three counts of receiving stolen property and one count of identity fraud, all fifth-degree felonies. Sentencing is set for 9:30 a.m. July 1.

Allen J. Smalley, 27, Defiance, pleaded guilty and was found guilty May 14 of attempted burglary, a third-degree felony. Sentencing was set for 10:30 a.m. June 4. Results were not immediately available.

James R. McGregor, 33, West Unity, pleaded guilty and was found guilty May 22 of two counts of gross sexual imposition, both third-degree felonies, and four counts of illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, all second-degree felonies. Sentencing is set for 9 a.m. June 26.

Jasmine A. Villanueva, 39, Stryker, pleaded no contest and was found guilty May 23 of intimidation, a third-degree felony. Sentencing is set for 10 a.m. June 17.

William K. Armstrong, 30, Montpelier, pleaded guilty and was found guilty May 23 of three counts of illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, all second-degree felonies, and one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Sentencing is set for 9:30 a.m. June 25.

Sentencing

Brett J. Popejoy, 27, Jackson, Michigan, was sentenced May 29 to 17 months incarceration for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony, and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

Money judgment sought

Fifth Third Bank, Grand Rapids, Michigan, vs. Summer R. Travis, Bryan, complaint in money judgment filed April 1, seeking $6,375.27, plus interest.

Defiance County

Julien C. Suydam, 22, Bryan, was indicted by a Defiance County grand jury June 4 on one count of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on May 18, Suydam discharged a firearm from a motor vehicle on Ohio 15 in Defiance County.
