An accident involving two tractor-trailer rigs closed the westbound lanes of U.S. 24 in Paulding County Monday morning.

“The lanes are completely blocked 12 miles west of Defiance and 10 miles east of the Indiana state lane,” Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Robert Ashenfelter said at 8:57 a.m. “We are asking drivers to completely avoid the area and find an alternate route.”

At 10:32 a.m., OSHP announced the road was back open but was down to one lane in both directions. At 2:57 p.m., OSHP said all lanes were back open to traffic.
