A Maumee man accused of seriously harming a woman was among the 12 people indicted this week by a Williams County grand jury.

According to a news release issued Wednesday by the Williams County Prosecutor’s Office, Michael R. Buck, 28, was indicted on one count each of aggravated burglary and felonious assault, both first-degree felonies.

Online court documents show that on June 13, he trespassed in an occupied structure on County Road 15.D, Bryan, and caused serious physical harm to a woman by “striking her in the face several times, fracturing at least one tooth at the jawline. She received a cut below her left eye and bruising and swelling along her neck.”

Also indicted was Ryan K. Dangerfield, the suspect in a June 23 stabbing death at Colonial Manor Motel in Bryan. (See Page 1 of Wednesday’s edition for the latest on this case.)

Others indicted included:

• Mason D. Herzog, 18, West Unity, on one count of felonious assault, a second-degree felony. Authorities allege that on April 21, he caused serious physical harm to a fetus.

• Nathan B. Cook, 27, Angola, Indiana, on one count of trespass in a habitation, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on June 26, he trespassed in a habitation on County Road M.50, Edon.

• Audrey M. Miler, 24, Bryan, on one count of trespass in a habitation, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on June 23, she trespassed in a habitation on County Road H, Bryan.

• Travis D. W. Bauer, 30, Fayette, on one count of escape, a third-degree felony. Authorities allege that on June 24, he purposely broke the detention of the Williams County Common Pleas Court.

• Gabriel V. W. Gutierrez, 31, Defiance, on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and two counts of having weapons while under disability, both third-degree felonies. Authorities allege that on March 1, he possessed methamphetamine, as well as a .40-caliber handgun having previously convicted of aggravated robbery in a 2006 and aggravated possession of drugs in 2016, both in Defiance County Common Pleas Court.

• Braden R. Whitlock, 22, Stryker, on one count each of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony, and failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on April 11, he possessed heroin, and on June 17 failed to appear in Williams County Common Pleas Court on a felony charge.

• Matthew D. Sands, 28, Montpelier, on one count of having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony. Authorities allege that on Feb. 28, he had an AR-15 rifle, having previously been convicted of a felony offense of violence or adjudicated a delinquent child for an offense that, if committed by an adult, would have been a felony offense of violence.

• Chad A. Mesh, 22, Montpelier, on one count each of failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony and grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on April 10, he stole a Ford Fusion, possessed methamphetamine and willfully eluded or fled police while operating a motor vehicle.

• Dwight D. Shaffer, Bryan, on one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. Authorities allege that on July 8, he made, presented or used something with purpose to mislead a public official engaged in an official proceeding or investigation.

• Logan S. Beaverson, 23, Camden, Michigan, on one count each of failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony, and aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. Authorities allege that on Nov. 17, 2018, he possessed methamphetamine and willfully eluded or fled police while operating a motor vehicle.
