A Montpelier man was killed Thursday in a one-vehicle crash in Defiance County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol:

At about 9:01 a.m. Thursday, Tyler L. McIntosh, age 20, of Montpelier, was driving a 2003 Ford F250 southwest on Ohio 2, near the intersection of Farmer Mark Road in Farmer Township, when he went off the right side of the roadway and lost control of his vehicle, which went off the left side of the roadway, overturned and struck a tree.

McIntosh succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was reportedly wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, and drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be a factor.
