Officials believe alcohol was a contributing factor to a crash in Pioneer on Wednesday evening.

According to a press release from the Pioneer Police Department:

Officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle injury crash on State Street at Hane Drive at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

At the scene, officers found a vehicle had crashed into a tree at the intersection and the driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening/minor injuries.

Police did not release the driver’s name and said charges are pending.

The Pioneer Fire Department, Williams County EMS and the Williams County Communications Agency assisted.

An investigation is ongoing, but alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor to the crash.
