Police responded to an incident Monday morning at the Bryan Elementary School, 1301 Center St.

The initial call, at 10:38 a.m. Monday was documented as "An employee issue" and Superintendent Mark Rairigh replied to requests for information Wednesday afternoon.

"Bryan City School administration requested the Bryan Police Department to assist with an employee conduct situation," Rairigh said. "The employee and their position does not work with, or provide services to, students in any capacity.

"The employee’s unprofessional conduct was isolated in nature and therefore did not involve any other staff or students," he said.

Rairigh did not disclose the subject's name or any other identifying information.

"Bryan City School officials responded promptly to the situation and continue to follow formal employee disciplinary procedures during the open investigation, therefore confidentiality must be followed."
