State Bank DARES to donate

Williams County Sheriff's Deputy and D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Officer Paul McCord, left, receives a $3,500 donation from State Bank Marketing Executive Tyson Moss, right, and the bank's fundraising committee chairperson Melissa Reef. "This is the organization we've decided to support and we hope this check is the first of many," Moss said. The bank and its employees held an arts and crafts show and volunteered time at the Williams County Fair to raise $1,750 for the D.A.R.E. program. The bank itself contributed a corporate match. McCord said the proceeds will be used to provide T-shirts to more than 600 students throughout the county. LYNN THOMPSON/Staff
