Two vehicles came to rest in the New Hope Community Church parking lot Monday morning after they collided on U.S. 127 south of County Road 15.D. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that at 10:01 a.m. the driver of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling northeast on U.S. 127 while Phillip Toward, 38, of Stryker, was driving southwest. The driver of the Grand Prix, who has not been identified, lost control 0.4 miles west of County Road E.50 and crossed the center line. Toward’s 2016 Ford Fusion struck the Grand Prix broadside and both vehicles slid north across the road. Three people were transported by Williams County EMS to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan. From the Grand Prix, Theodore B. McDaniel, 40, of Bryan, was initially listed in serious condition Monday afternoon while Brittany Kendall, 21, of Bryan, was treated for minor injuries and released. Toward was also treated for minor injuries and released. The accident remains under investigation.
