Bart Westfall, West Unity, has entered the race for Williams County Commissioner in 2022.

He is the third person to announce their candidacy for the position since Brian Davis announced he would not seek re-election. So far, Debra Holbrook Beevers and Dan Yahraus have announced their candidacy.

Westfall made the announcement Tuesday afternoon on his Facebook page.

The announcement reads:

“I wish to announce that, as of 10:30 a.m. today, I have filed my petition as a Republican candidate for the 2022 election for Williams County Commissioner. After all the positive encouragement from several key Republicans, friends and business colleagues, I am all in.

First, let me clarify, I AM NOT RETIRING. My schedule permits me to continue servicing my clients, as I have for 41+ years and fulfill the duties of the office of Williams County Commissioner.

I am looking forward to the challenges and commitment of being your next commissioner.

Thank you, to all the individuals that entrusted me in signing my petition and for all of you for your future support and votes.

Sincerely,

Bart Westfall.”
