Country music artist Zach Diemer will perform at the Fountain City Amphitheater from 8-10 p.m. on Saturday during Day in the Park in Bryan.
The Fountain City Amphitheater planning committee and the Bryan Area Foundation (BAF) are presenting Diemer, who takes the place of a Girl Named Tom, the Pettisville trio who late Wednesday had to postpone their concert due to COVID.
“Zach recently performed in Archbold and everyone loved him,” Amy Miller, executive director of the BAF, said in making the announcement Thursday afternoon.
Diemer has two singles promoted on Apple Music, “That’s Family,” from 2021, and “When I Was With You,” released this year.
Jeffrey Tonjes, the amphitheater events coordinator, is still working with Girl Named Tom for a new date in Bryan, and they are working to bring the band to the outdoor amphitheater before the end of the season, according to Miller and Mayor Carrie Schlade.
Day in the Park, sponsored by the Bryan Area Chamber Of Commerce, is still on as scheduled, with the midway open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and activities for the whole family, including bounce house rides and a cornhole tournament. A fireworks show at 10 p.m. will cap the day’s events.
