The Ohio University Marching Band Society of Alumni and Friends Board, Athens, Ohio, recently awarded the 2019 Gene Thrailkill Alumni Band award to Polly Krause, of Bryan, in recognition of her service to the Ohio University Marching Band. This award was given to Polly to thank her for her years of service to the band and alumni band. Polly has served on the board for many years, serving as president during the band’s 50th celebration in 2017. She helped organize all the aspects of that celebration including the banquet and all the merchandise that was available to celebrate the important milestone in the band’s history. Polly marched in the band as an undergrad from 1982-85 and has participated in annual alumni band events every year since then. She is currently an administrative assistant at Penrod and George CPAs in Bryan, and is married to Terry Krause, director of the Bryan City Band.
