(1950-2023)
Van A. Brandon, 72, of Montpelier, passed away on Jan. 19, 2023, at his home. He was born on Dec. 17, 1950, in Montpelier to Eldon R. and Esther J. (Stantz) Brandon. Van graduated from North Central High School and was a lifelong farmer.
He leaves behind a sister, Iva L. Mettler of Auburn, Indiana, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Van was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Carl Mettler.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer with Pastor Mike Wilder to officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thompson Funeral Home to defray expenses. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
