The Bryan Times,

Why is the leadership of the Democratic Party so afraid of Christian ethics or morality? President Trump nominated two judges: one for the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska, one for the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Two Democratic Senators, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-California) and Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), accused the two judges of being a bit too Catholic” for their liking. I guess the two senators forgot the Constitution forbids religious tests to be taken by nominees for office. Think of that! If Democrats had their way, they would remove the phrase, “I God We Trust.” Well silly me, they already have tried that.

If Democrats would spend more time studying the history of our country instead of trying to remove real history for our schools and books, maybe they would learn something. If they only spent more time appreciating our history instead of avoiding it they would grow in wisdom.

I wonder if Democrats ever studied the lives of the men who wrote the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. They would find just how influenced they were by Christian ethics and morals. Believe it or not Democrats, theses men were influenced heavily by Christianity. the Declaration of Independence identified the source of all authority and rights as their “Creator” and then said man’s rights were God-given, not Man-made. Amazing!

The 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention included 28 Episcopalians, eight Presbyterians, seven Congregationalists, two Lutherans, two Dutch Reformed, two Methodist, two Roman Catholic, one unknown and three Diests. Interesting, isn’t it, that they were heavily influenced by a biblical view of mankind and government.

John Adams and John Hancock are reported to have said, “We recognize no sovereign but God, no King but Jesus.” Imagine that!

But still Democrats endorse gay marriage, the transvestite lifestyle, abortions at any time during pregnancy, the taking of prayer out of schools and any government meeting places.

Every one of these goes against the Christian ethics. It’s no wonder you have lost your patriotism for America.

Proverbs 13:44 says, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.”

Benjamin Harrison, our 23rd President, said, “If you take out of your statues, your constitution, your family life, all that is taken from the sacred book, what would there be left to bind society together?” Nothing!
