Saying thank you to a veteran is important. Veterans always put our lives before theirs. They sacrifice so much for us, the least we can do is say thank you. Veterans are employed for at least two years for active duty, but they have an eight-year commitment. Also, the average time for a veterans to be deployed is eight months. They have loved ones waiting at home hoping that they are safe.

There are many veterans that die fighting for our freedom. We should be thankful for their service and express our feelings. Some veterans may have never heard the word thank you. You could be the first person to thank them. They are the reason that you and I have freedom. They are the reason I have the right to speak and go to school.

I think Veterans Day should be more often. They deserve more than one day to be thanked. Veterans should be thanked and prayed for every day. That is just a few reasons why you should say thank you, but there are too many reasons why you should say thank you to a veteran to count.
