The Bryan summer baseball team surrendered a run to the Archbold Blue Streaks with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to lose 5-4 and drop to 2-7 on the season on Thursday.

Archbold grabbed a 4-0 lead with a four-run inning in the bottom of the third, and Bryan responded to score four runs in the top of the fifth, but it proved to be all the offense the Golden Bears could muster.

Nolan Kidston took the loss for Bryan. He pitched 6 2/3 innings with six strikeouts and one walk, while allowing seven hits and five runs.

Bryan’s leading hitters included Breven Deckrosh (single, home run), Clayton Rupp (two singles) and Keith Huard (double).

Bryan returns to action with a home game against Archbold at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
