A week after losing a 9-6 extra-inning affair to Anthony Wayne, the Bryan baseball team fell again to the Generals on Monday, this time in the form of a 13-3 blowout at Sumpter Field.
Errors cost Bryan dearly on the evening. The Golden Bears committed eight of them throughout the game, which allowed Anthony Wayne to score in each inning to pull away to the lopsided victory.
Bryan had only five hits in the game. Breven Deckrosh was 2-for-4 with a run, Keith Huard was 1-for-2 with a run and an RBI, Clayton Rupp was 1-for-4 with a run and Quinn Brown was 1-for-3 with a walk.
Nolan Kidston got the start on the mound for Bryan and went four innings, surrendering 10 hits, nine runs and striking out two. Taysen Deckrosh came in for three innings of relief to give up four runs, three hits with one strikeout.
The loss drops Bryan to 1-2 on the summer season, and the Bears return to action with a doubleheader against Defiance starting at 5 p.m. today at Sumpter Field in Bryan.
