Newark Catholic’s football team scored 15 fourth-quarter points to erase a 29-20 deficit to come back and beat Edon 35-29 on Saturday at Ohio Northern University.

Newark Catholic went to the half with a 14-7 lead on Edon, but the Bombers responded to outscore Newark Catholic 22-6 in the third frame to take a nine-point lead into the fourth. Edon ultimately couldn’t hold on.

Edon’s Drew Gallehue led the way through the air with 139 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Dylan Mason was the leading rusher with 70 yards and Austin Kiess caught five passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Keagen Romine had three interceptions.

Edon (0-1) continues play this Friday at Edgerton.
