Edgerton’s football team extended its regular season winning streak to 16 games with a dominating 44-12 victory against the Edon Bombers at Stauffer Field in Edgerton on Friday.

The win also served as Edgerton’s sixth straight in the rivalry.

It was a two-possession game at the half, with the Bulldogs leading the Bombers 28-12 at the break. However, Edgerton outscored Edon 16-0 in the second half to pull away to the victory.

Edgerton (2-0) continues play at Montpelier in Week 3, while Edon (0-2) travels to Hicksville.

Fairview 32, Paulding 0

Fairview bounced back from a heart-breaking loss to Wauseon in Week 1 with a 32-0 shutout victory at Paulding on Friday.

The Apaches (1-1) broke open a 25-0 lead at the half and coasted the victory in the second half.

Cade Polter led the way through the air with 251 yards and four touchdowns. Luke Timbrook had four carries for 92 yards and a score on the ground to go along with three receptions and 94 yards through the air.

Caleb Frank had six receptions for 75 yards and two touchdowns and Doug Rakes had two receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns for the Apaches.

Fairview (1-1) hosts Bryan in Week 3. Paulding (0-2) travels to Antwerp.

Hilltop 50, Antwerp 20

Hilltop’s football team ran away with a 30-point victory at home over the Antwerp Archers on Friday.

A huge rushing attack led the way for the Cadets, who racked up 415 yards on the ground. Dan Shilling had 11 carries for 165 yards and and two touchdowns, Hayden Brown had 11 carries for 164 yards and two touchdowns and Alex Richmond had one carry for 82 yards and a score to lead the Cadet rushing attack.

Hilltop (1-1) continues play at Fremont. St. Joe in Week 3.

Whiteford (MI) 60,

Stryker 12

Stryker lost 60-12 at home against Whiteford, Michigan, on Friday. The loss drops the Panthers to 0-2 on the season.
