Bryan senior Case Hartman medaled with a round of 71 to help the Bryan golf team place fourth with a team score of 353 at the Walt Behrman Napoleon Invitational on Saturday.
“Case played excellent golf today,” Bryan coach Tyler Bernath said. “He was four or five-under on the par fives. He drove the ball really well, which led to great birdie opportunities on the par fives. He is playing with a lot of confidence right now.”
The Bears trailed first-place Anthony Wayne (314), second-place Perrysburg (316) and third-place Napoleon (336).
Following Hartman were Clayton Rupp (88), Nolan Kidston (91), Drew Dauber (103) and Colin Shirkey (106).
“The rest of the team struggled to overcome some tight fairways and some twists and turns on the course,” Bernath said. “The hills on some of the courses were bigger than some of our guys have seen in their golf careers. Great learning opportunity for the young players today.”
