Pettisville’s golf team won the Stryker Panther Invitational with a team score of 329 at Riverside Greens Golf Course in Stryker on Saturday.
The Blackbirds narrowly beat out second-place Fayette (330) and third-place Wauseon (331).
Montpelier was the top Williams County team in participation. The Locos placed fourth with a score of 337 and were led by Hunter Burlew (76), Ethan Marihugh (83), Easten Richmond (85), Aidan Higbie (93) and Roman Sommer (97).
North Central was sixth with a score of 351. The Eagles were led by Chace Boothman (80), Zack Hayes (89), Collin Patten (91), Jack Bailey (91) and Mason Sanford (92).
Fairview was seventh with a score of 353. The Apaches were led by John Nusbaum (83), Nathaniel Adkins (92), Ronnie Adkins (88), Jasiel Laguna (90) and Brendan Degryse (109).
Hilltop was ninth with a score of 392. The Cadets were led by Ethan Siebenaler (91), Avrie Reed (99), Dominik Schmitt (100), Jamie Chester (102) and Kasin Deck (106).
Edon was 11th with a score of 457. The Bombers were led by Hayden Price (9)), Nathan Myers (99), Terran Dunbar (127) and Thomas Wehrenberg (141).
Stryker didn’t have enough golfers to score, but Spencer Clingaman fired a round of 73, Max Wonders shot a 90 and Devon Weirauch shot a 97.
The tournament’s top five golfers included Tinora’s Dylan Von Deylen (66), Pettisville’s Max Leppelmeier (73), Clingaman (73), Wauseon’s Dylan Grahn (75) and Burlew (76).
