Stryker senior Emma Grime and Fairview senior Mercedes Wagner each earned Special Mention honors on the All-Ohio Girls Basketball Teams announced by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association on Tuesday.

Grime earned Special Mention in Division IV and helped lead the Stryker Panthers to a 24-3 overall record, a Buckeye Border Conference championship, in addition to a district title and an appearance in regionals this season. Grime led her team in scoring at more than 16 points per game and was also First Team All-BBC.

Wagner earned Special Mention in Division III and averaged 16.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 1.8 blocks per game for the 15-6 Apaches. Wagner finished her career with more than 1,000 points and also earned First Team All-Green Meadows Conference for her efforts this season. She’s slated to continue her basketball career at Wayne State University, an NCAA Division II school in Detroit.
