All-Area Team

Kodi Brenner

Hilltop, Sophomore

A big 2019 season for Brenner led to the sophomore earning Buckeye Border Conference Player of the Year honors. Brenner did a little bit of everything for the BBC Champion Cadets this year. At the plate, she hit .518 with eight doubles, three triples, four home runs, 38 RBIs and 47 runs scored. She also stole 13 bases and as a pitcher, she compiled an 11-4 record with 90 strikeouts and a 3.00 earned run average.

Maddie Schaper

Hilltop, Junior

Schaper played a very important role in helping the Hilltop Cadets to their seventh straight BBC Championship in 2019. At the plate, she hit .391 with 10 doubles, 24 RBIs and 37 runs scored. As a pitcher, she compiled a 7-4 record with 49 strikeouts and a 2.84 earned run average. Schaper earned First Team BBC honors.

Haley Stephens

Hilltop, Senior

It was a successful senior year for Hilltop team captain Haley Stephens. She hit an impressive .446 at the plate with two home runs, 32 RBIs and 40 runs scored. Stephens earned First Team BBC honors for her accomplishments in the 2019 season.

Anna Ankney

Fairview, Sophomore

A defensive ace at shortstop for the 22-2 Apaches, Ankney was also a very reliable bat. The sophomore hit .588 on the season with nine doubles, four home runs, 43 runs scored and 21 RBIs. For her accomplishments, Ankney earned First Team All-Green Meadows Conference, all the while helping Fairview to a GMC and Division III district title.

Logan Smith

Fairview, Senior

Smith was a steady force in the circle for the Apaches softball team this spring. In 109 innings pitched, she compiled a record of 17-2 with 81 strikeouts and a 2.69 earned run average. Smith earned Second Team GMC honors and also helped the Apaches to a GMC and Division III district title.

Kinsey Dietrich

Fairview, Senior

As one of five seniors to help the Fairview softball team to historic success this season, Dietrich carried a .530 batting average to go along with 38 runs scored and 27 RBIs. For her accomplishments, Dietrich earned First Team honors in the GMC.

Riley Collins

Fairview, Senior

Collins went out strong her senior year in helping Fairview to a 22-2 overall record, in addition to GMC and district titles. She carried a .452 batting average with 26 runs scored and six stolen bases. Collins earned Honorable Mention distinction from the GMC this spring.

Kamryn Boland

Fairview, Senior

Boland had a very successful season in helping the Apaches make a run to its first GMC title since 2015, in addition to a Division III district title this season. Boland had a .415 batting average with 31 runs scored and 33 RBIs. She also earned Second Team honors in the GMC.

Kiersten Cline

Fairview, Sophomore

Cline might have flown a bit under the radar having played on a team as deep as the GMC and district champion Fairview Apaches were this year. Cline hit an impressive .446 with 25 runs scored, nine doubles, two home runs and 26 RBIs.

Claire Radabaugh

Edon, Junior

Radabaugh was one of the top offensive weapons for an Edon Bomber squad that finished the year with a 12-7 overall record in 2019. She carried a .478 batting average to go along with seven doubles, two home runs, 16 RBIs and 36 runs scored. For her accomplishments, Radabaugh earned First Team honors in the BBC.

Rylei Moreno

Edgerton, Sophomore

Moreno was a force to be reckoned with for the Edgerton softball team this season. She sported a .531 batting average with nine doubles, five home runs, 35 RBIs and 24 runs scored. Moreno also earned First Team Green Meadows Conference recognition.

Addie Arnold

Bryan, freshman

Arnold made a big impact as a freshman for the Golden Bears in 2019. Arnold led her team in batting average at .410 and also drove in 13 runs and scored 17 more. As a pitcher, she compiled a 5-6 record with 45 strikeouts in 54.1 innings pitched. She earned Second Team honors in the Northwest Ohio Athletic League.
